Social Scene

The Polo Club has meetings and an informal social every Tuesday night at 9pm in Forgan's. We also host a variety of dinners and nights out throughout the year, such as Opening Dinner, Christmas Dinner, and Closing dinner. We get together before events, such as pre-drinks for Sinners at the Union with our infamous Polo Punch and Shot Stick. We often attend bigger events as a group as well, such as the always hilarious Welly Ball. We also co-host Ride 'Em Hard, Leave 'Em Wet at 1 Golf Place with our friends in the Boat Club.  Big nights aside, club members (especially the committee) can often be found (usually in their jackets and kit!) at a number of local watering holes around town after lessons or on a break from the library.
The social scene doesn't end with St Andrews, however. We have great friends at other Scottish Unis who we love to invite on nights out in St Andrews after beach chukkas. Every tournament we attend, from Edinburgh to Warwick, boasts a hilarious couple of nights out, culminating in a players' party.

Every year the Polo Club hosts the UNIVERSITY OF ST ANDREWS CHARITY POLO TOURNAMENT. The tournament is in support of Help for Heroes and is host to over a thousand guests. It is a wonderful and different day out for polo players and spectators alike. So come join us next spring at Errol Park Estate to watch the Polo Club showcase its talent. Plus, club members get an exclusive invite to the Players' Party!
